Isenhower Wild Alfalfa brings Alaska to Walla Walla

Syrah Grapes to be Destemmed

Steve Brooks at Trust Cellars sorts and destems Syrah grapes. Here is a cluster just before it goes into the destemmer, before it’s fall into the tunnel of attack-by-rubber-paddles-on-wands, breaking the cluster down into separate parts, berry by berry then dropping into a bin, awaiting the crush that leads to freedom… sweet fermented freedom.
