Ahhh… It’s been a long break from the blog. Normally I go commercial fishing in Alaska during the summer. Not so this year. I stayed in Walla Walla. For some silly reason I expected that I would have a bit more time on my hands, not being tied to the tides and all. But it has flown by!

There have been at least 10 birthdays, plus anniversaries, fair days, family reunions, and more. We’ve had more children in the house than ever, bringing so much energy and fresh perspective to the scene (e.g. playing in sprinklers is just as important as quarterly financial reports).

I wish I could share it all. But this summer, rather than commercial fishing, rather than blogging, I’ve been living. Please forgive the six week break, but it has been extraordinary.

Time well spent. I hope your summer has been the same.
